Three years ago, Kari Johnson was selected to make the railings special at the Monroe Street and Sam Reynolds EmX Stations. Soon her vision will go to the metal shop for production and then be installed before the September opening. Kari's designs incorporate the neighbors and natural scenes that you might see from the bus window today, as well as scenes of swimming in ponds and playing among cherry trees of the past. Kari says that creating public art is like being a "mood architect," stirring feelings, inspiring connections to ideas, to ideals, and to history.
